Truly unique underwater adventure. After a brief introduction to the technique of riding the scooter in the shallow waters, set off to deeper areas and along the coast. Watch the fish and the underwater world and have a blast speeding around in the sea with the sea scooter, while your guide takes underwater photos of you. Glide effortlessly through the sea, on the surface or even deeper and have fun with your friends and family!

This area looks like an abandoned area. It’s been a military camp, but it’s not been in use for many years. At the location, you will see a small parking area in front of the old Austro-Hungarian fort dating from the mid 19th century.

The guide will be there with the car, so you have less steps to take until you reach the beach.If you are not sure which car to look up for, search for a PULA OUTDOOR car sticker.

We kindly ask you to be there about 10min before the start.

Availability

This adventure runs from the end of May until beginning of September, when the weather forecast allows our activities outdoors, from Monday to Saturday.

We have Sundays off, but sometimes we can make exceptions for bigger groups (birthdays, bachelor parties, schools etc.)

Participation requirements

We welcome all guests who have swimming skills and are active, anyone who wants to learn how to snorkel and/or glide underwater with the sea scooter.

This tour is easy, but guests have to have good swimming skills. However, please be fair to other guests and contact us in case you have special needs or other questions so we can adapt the tour to your needs – a private tour.

This unique sea adventure of up to 5 guests is guided by a certified, knowledgeable and friendly guide.

Tour Overview

The adventure starts at Fort Ovine (GPS Google maps: 44.861922, 13.810854). We will have a brief 15 minute introduction so that we can get to know each other, equip, learn about the sea scooter and talk through the safety instructions. Once that is done, the sea part begins!

SEAGULL’S ROCKS
We start from the shallow waters in a beginner-friendly cove. First we learn the basics of snorkeling, then try out this extremely easy to use sea scooter and set off to deeper areas and along the coast.

SEA SCOOTER SNORKELING
Seagull’s Rocks is an interesting place for snorkeling because of its diversity of the sea beds: sand, rocks, Posidonia grass and a mixture of these three. With its relatively shallow waters and safe swimming/snorkeling area, it’s a great place for this unique underwater adventure.

UNDERWATER PHOTOS AND VIDEO
During the tour, the guide is taking underwater photos and videos of this adventure for your long lasting memories. After approx. 45-60 minutes in the sea, it’s time to return the sea scooter on land, take off the equipment and stretch out on the beach while exchanging experiences of the tour.

Important Details

There are parking lots around our meeting point, which are free of charge!
Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour begins, so you can find a parking spot in the area and prepare for the activity
Suitable for ages between 8 and 68
Not suitable for people with vertigo, asthma, and similar health issues
Children and youth up to the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult on the tour

Snorkeled with our family with two young children (that didn’t have any snorkeling experience). Booking the activity was easy using the company’s website. The group consisted of only our family (because no one else had booked the activity that day). This allowed the guide to adjust the pace to suit our children and she truly did an excellent job. No boat needed, as you can just walk to the Seagull’s rocks. We received beautiful underwater photos the next day by email (included in the price of the activity).

Very fun activity and a very nice experience!

Very minor point of criticism: the directions to the meeting point we received by email weren’t very clear. The correct meeting point can be found using Google ;-).

The communication with the organization went extremely well, also the departure times fitted nicely to our schedule (+ 3 times a day).
On the day before our booked trip, we got a whatsapp message asking us if we would like to take a departure later on the day (since there was a group of children joining our reserved departure). We’re still thankful for letting us know + thinking with us and rescheduling our departing time.
Once started, we were with a small group of total 4 + guide, we could clearly notice she liked what she did and told us alot about the coast + history of Croatia.
I knew it would be awesome to do, but didn’t expect it to be this nice. When in Pula, I would definitly recommend Outdoor Pula over any other kayak tour.

Emma and I had a wonderful time with Tea, who taught us well and showed us a lovely experience. She even helped me to face my fear and taught me to dive, apparently I went 3 metres down which is such an achievement for me. Wonderful time. Highly recommended.
