Among the more important species are six of the orchid family and species such as narrow-leaved bindweed (Convolvulus lineatus), woolly chamomile (Anthemis tomentosa), and the only known site in Croatia for the extremely rare and endangered yellow centaury (Cicendia filiformis). Birdwatchers will also be thrilled! Over 180 bird species and 50 butterfly species have been recorded in the area. The dry Mediterranean climate is particularly favourable for reptiles such as the European legless lizard (Pseudopus apodus) or the eastern and western green lizard (Lacerta viridis/bilineata).
